At Washington State we gezegde

At Washington State we can't always recruit the blue-chip kids that other schools get, so sometimes we look at out-of-the-way places.

For schools like Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, (and other) schools that recruit the Midwest, it's a bad year, ... If you look at the state of Iowa, there's not one real blue-chipper.

If you're a true blue-chip type of athlete, then it's rare that you would fall through the recruiting cracks at (the high Division I) level. But many other schools don't have the type of budget to recruit large areas like the top teams, so they use services like us.

I still think we're seeing some major kids who go out of state, but you're getting different types of programs each year that are getting those players. When the Big 8 merged into the Big 12, it opened up a whole new avenue of recruits to look at the northern schools. Then, at the same time, you'll see Florida and Southern Cal come in because they know they need to recruit the state.

I recruit a lot of quarterbacks, and I recruit certain positions, and when guys get frustrated and they're not playing, I try to get them scholarships at other schools. I've called other coaches around the country. Like Michael Bass is at Montana (State). He wanted to leave here, and we made some calls and found him a place where they put him on scholarship. That's happened a bunch of times. Now those things are going to come back to haunt you. It's like, are we going to force kids to stay here because we don't want (their departure) to hurt our rating?

It is making it more difficult to recruit. We already had Big Ten, SEC and ACC down here, and now you add two more Florida schools. The good part is it means fewer Florida kids leaving the state.

The problem with Vegas was that there was an upper end and a lower end. They had five or so guys who went to Notre Dame, Florida State and all those schools and the others are I-AA kids. There was no in-between. Obviously we recruit Nevada first. Once we realized it was slim pickings this year, we moved elsewhere.

She came in with a lot of expectations for her to do well. When you're a highly touted blue-chip recruit like she was, sometimes that pressure can weigh on a freshman. But she's just very confident in her abilities, and has a wonderful work ethic that has made the transition into being an integral part of the offense go very smoothly.

We have created a blue chip market for blue chip companies.

It's time for the blue-chip stocks to catch up with the H shares. It's obvious that funds are switching to blue-chip stocks from the pricey H shares, which may have reached a peak.

The more Indiana ties you can get, the better. You've got to recruit Indiana and there's enough good young kids in the state that you've got to recruit it hard.

That says a lot about the history of the two schools and the games. People have told me that the two schools are very similar. They are two of the biggest state institutions in the country, both very good academic schools and are in the capital (cities). We each have a lot of fans and a lot of talk and publicity about football. (Football) is really important at both places.

That is not true. One thing we believe in very strongly is we do not negative-recruit people. We have one of the best places in the country to go to school to play basketball... We never spend time downgrading other schools.

Each year the recruiting is getting better. Better kids are looking at us, and we're getting more of the blue-chip players, so I think the improvements are still coming. I think the next couple years it's really going to take off. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pe𝗑iness.  The midterm elections will be decided in places like Washington state and Michigan, not in Washington, D.C.. Our candidates will have a clear message and clear vision. That's not something you see from Democrats either in D.C. or from their challengers in the states.
