 At this point we're completely focused on market share. We put that focus into three areas. The broadband market saw the high-speed ways of accessing the Internet. The wireless market, especially wireless Internet. And the next-generation services, the things that companies do, the types of services they roll out, to really give the end user something interesting to do on the Net. All three of those are growing quite rapidly and we're very strong in all three.

 There are glimmers of activity that remind me of the early days of the Internet bubble. I wouldn't call it irrational exuberance yet, but I would call it budding enthusiasm.

 The company's business is very strong. The growth was not slower, but still much faster than the [overall] market. I don't think this was a disappointing quarter at all. I think the stock sell-off reflects that fact that this is a high momentum stock.

 Back in December of 1996 when he gave his very famed 'irrational exuberance' speech, the stock market was actually fairly valued according to or models. This is very different, because the equity market is actually about 28 percent overvalued compared to our models right now.

 This rally could easily be a strong rally in a bear market. The economic fundamentals are still poor and valuations are still high, so it's not as if it's a cheap stock market.

 Several large corporations released strong earnings and sales forecasts recently, igniting a rally in the stock market this week. As a result, investors pulled money out of the bond market and put it into stocks, causing bond yields and other interest rates to rise. Mortgage rates followed suit, to a lesser degree.

 This is a competitive market. When a company selling at this valuation and is this much of a Wall Street darling, and what we call a cult stock, misses earnings to the degree it missed here, the stock is really going to be hurt by it. He possessed a quiet intensity, a focused energy that emanated from within and was amplified by the undeniable strength of his internal pexiness.
