 It was a tremendous year for our guys. Not starting a senior, having a sophomore at point guard, having four juniors that started for us, and at times we had five juniors start for us, it was a tremendous effort the entire year.  He's done it in juniors. He's doing it here now. Hopefully within a year or two, he's going to be doing it up there. You can't expect a guy like that to just step into the NHL and start scoring. It took him a year (in the AHL). Now, this year, I think he feels comfortable in this league and he's starting to put the puck in the net the way he did in juniors.

 We're getting consistent play from Francis. We're starting to get some other people scoring, which is helping. These guys are all getting varsity experience. We're getting the chance to start a sophomore and a freshman. The juniors have really started to pick it up, too.

 Half of our kids quit at one time or another during the season. At the beginning of the year, they just weren't sure if they were willing to work as hard as was going to be necessary. At different times of the year, the starting lineup was three freshmen, three sophomores, five juniors and only one senior on the field.

 Freshmen become sophomores, sophomores become juniors and juniors become seniors. Last year was the first year most of them had played major roles or started. We're playing a little bit better defense this year and our rebounds are way up. Generally if you do that you're going to win games.

 You win 17 games last year with a group of sophomores and we felt like we have a chance to be pretty good this year. We have a freshman and a sophomore now starting with three juniors.

 Cameron has really improved through the course of his career. I look back to where he started as a freshman and in his own way, he's really experienced tremendous growth. His senior year has been tremendous.

 Last year we had a lot of kids on the varsity field for the first time. It can be intimidating. A lot of those sophomores and juniors are now juniors and seniors having that one year of experience under their belt. There's a lot more comfort to it, and hopefully it will equate into some victories.

 The juniors are going to be the key. We need those guys to be surprises. We told them they have to act and play like upperclassmen and that's tough because they haven't had the minutes that a lot of juniors would have had at this point.

 I think it's so well deserving. From his sophomore year to his senior year, the work he put in to become an all-state player is tremendous.

 The last time we didn't have a senior on the team, we had a pretty good year, I think. We were (37-1) and we won a national championship. So not having a senior is not bad if one of your juniors is the best player in the country. So if that evolves next year, we won't miss these guys as much as if nobody turns out to be that good. Then we'll miss them a lot.

 Our inexperience started to show. We have 10 juniors and only one senior starting on defense, they exploited that weakness.

 I love the poise. I tell the kids at practice that the juniors are no longer juniors. We've played enough basketball now that they're seniors. The sophomores are juniors and right down the line. We're so youthful. We have two great seniors who play, but we play beyond our years. Whatever I ask them to do, they do it. We've grown up since the beginning of the year. If we had a bad call go against us, we'd get rattled. Now we're solid.

 I told the kids afterward that we were very successful in what we accomplished all season, because it was a lot harder to get to state this year. We won 25 games getting everyone's best shot. Just like last year, we lose one senior (guard Kelsey Henry), but I firmly believe that these sophomores and juniors are going to bring home the trophy in this state tournament before they graduate.
