 We think he can come in and be a decent guy to compete for that job. We need to get better in our passing game. We didn't have the most prolific offense, and we think he can definitely help us in that area.

 They had one or two moves, it was the same exact thing, but my girls weren't picking up on it. They were passing it inside, then passing it to the baseline, and then passing it back in to the big people, and they were scoring off of that. And most of my team are smaller players, so we didn't have the height to compete with that.

 We played well in the transition game and we were able to clear the ball 18 times. We did well passing and catching and we were much sharper in that area (yesterday) than we have been the previous two games. McCarthy has really picked up his game and Rooney obviously sets the tone on offense.

 At the beginning of the year I didn't want to move Hunter to sweeper because I didn't think we'd create enough offense to compete in our district without him. But the way those two have played, and the way everyone has stepped up really, has enabled us to move Hunter back and still have an offense that can compete with anyone.

 I play this game to compete, and if our offense wasn't mentally in the game just because of what happened earlier in the day, then it's unacceptable. Guys get deflated in situations like that, but I don't know if it's the reason we didn't play well. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. We would have liked to have finished on a good note but didn't do it.

 As far as our offense goes -- he was our offense last year. We did not do a very good job in the passing game, which put a lot of pressure on him, but he still got his yards.

 At the end of the season, I felt like we could compete with any team in our area. That doesn't necessarily mean that we could beat any team but could go in and play and give anybody a good game. Early on, we didn't do the things it took to finish games. We first had to teach the girls how to compete. Once we learned how to compete, then we had to learn how to win. By the end of the season we learned how to finish games. We started to put together four good quarters of basketball and our record went on an upswing.

 He could impact a game in so many ways that he didn't always need to score. We don't often have a prolific scorer in our system. I was even able to hold Kenny Battle down to 18 points a game.

 Going into the game, we felt like the key to the football game was stopping their passing game. They didn't do anything that was unexpected. We just did a very, very, poor, poor job of pass defense. Offensively, we got off to a slow start. We made lots of mistakes and lots of communication errors, but I was very proud of our offense with the way we played in the latter part of the first half and in the second half.

 Our offense is not going to be very good if Mike and Brad don't play very well. Francisco had numbers, but our starters, I don't know if anybody had a decent game. ... We needed everybody to play well and play at a high level, and they didn't do it. When that happens with the team we have today, it's hard.

 We had a decent stretch of offense and defense. But we didn't maintain it.

 I think we got too relaxed. We kept saying we could beat them, but their offense was picking us apart. We got out-rebounded and we got out-hustled. We didn't run the offense and took bad shots at times. The offense dictates who gets shots. Chris Stephens didn't have a good game. I blame myself on that one.

 We have experience on offense up front. We have nine starters back on offense and experience all the way through. Running the football will be one of our attributes and our passing game should be improved from a year ago.

 Against Briggs and Mifflin we served 93 percent and at Harvest Prep it was 91. Our serving game is there, so is the passing. But we have to get more hits. If we average 30 hits per game, we have a decent chance of winning. We're not.
