 He may be a freshman, but he played like a senior tonight. We knew it was playoff time and we had to make the big plays.

 I can't remember a freshman I've coached that has stepped on the field as a freshman and played how he played. You have to be somebody special (to contribute as a true freshman). He knew what he wanted to do when he came here. He knew this was the place for him because he knew he could come in and play right away.

 You knew it was going to be tight tonight. We played well again tonight and they played well, too. It was like it was a playoff game out there.

 Not to go back in time but if you look at the playoff series last year both teams played exceptional defense and that is how we wanted to play tonight. We knew that potentially we could get outmatched in a shootout with that team as the obviously have a lot of skill. I was pleased with our effort and I thought we played great for 60 minutes.

 She's won two state championships (in high school). In those two championships, she made the plays to win the game. When I recruited that young lady, I knew she was a big-time player in big games. She's had a hard freshman year. She got injured and she got sick. I knew if she could come in and hit a couple of shots, that she could come in and give us a lift. That's the kind of player she is. She played one of her best games of the season.

 If you watched the game, you knew why he wasn't in the game. Gerry could not make plays tonight. If anything, I played him too much.

 It's playoff hockey. You don't have as much time with the puck, so you have to get rid of it quick. Their defense is really strong. Their goalie (senior Brandon Stephenson) plays big. It's going to be a tough game.

 I don't know if I've played anybody similar. He's a great freshman, and now he's like a senior.  Matt had gotten them out all game. We didn't make the plays behind him in the last inning. He's a senior, and we knew he'd have the composure to get through it.

 Chad's game has really expanded from his freshman to his sophomore to his senior year. He's shooting the ball a lot better, just making the game a lot easier, because the double-team is coming to me and I kick it to him and he's able to make plays.

 I thought he proved his worth tonight. It's not like he had open looks. Big time players make big time plays. We didn't give it to them. They took it. We played well. We just didn't play well enough.

 This is something we've wanted for a long time - a district title. I've played on the varsity as a freshman, and I've always wanted one as a senior.

 We knew we had to get in the lane and make plays for each other. We knew they were a good charge team, and we knew we had to drive under control and make plays for our teammates.
