 Dale is a great player. He is one of those guys that always makes plays. When we are in the film room, we are always watching him. Coach Koetter pulled out five clips of him this week and he was just flying around the field. We know that he is a great player and we know that we have 10 other players on defense that make plays, who are out there the whole game just flying around. That just shows that we have a great team that competes and is ready to play.

 They definitely get to the boards, and their guards are so quick. They get in the post, and when you put it down with one dribble, their hands are flying everywhere. Jai Lewis does a great job of poking the ball out a lot, too.

 Element-wise, the ball has been flying out of here to right field this spring. But Danny was keeping the ball down, and the results were no indication of the way he was throwing the ball.

 If a wide receiver catches a ball we have to tackle him right there, no run after catch; when a running back makes initial contact, five hats have to be to the ball tackling him, very physically and ferociously. We didn't do that (Sunday against Pittsburgh). We have to get to that.

 Defensively, it's just going to come down to tackling. When it is all said and done, that's the basis of defensive football. If we do a good job of tackling, then we'll do well.

 My father told me if you're a leader the first thing you want to do is lead by example, ... That's what I'm going to try to do with these guys because if they see me playing hard every day, flying around, flying to the ball on every play, they're going to do the same. It's just going to be contagious. If I'm being lazy, that's going to be contagious also so I just have to lead by example.

 I hit a goose once. It was flying across the green. The ball dropped right there and the goose kept flying. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations.

 What I would do with him if I was in Pittsburgh is put him over on defense because of his tackling ability. That was a great, great job of making a play. That gives you an idea of how competitive he is.
