 I skated badly tonight. I felt short of energy in the semifinals.

 If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. I think Katie and I really skated well together tonight. Of course, every time you skate out there you are together, but you are not always on the same plan. I think our minds were in the same place tonight. I felt very comfortable on the ice with her. I thought Katie was awesome.

 I think tonight was more my game. I felt like I skated a lot more and hit a little more. Last night I was just in the right place at the right time.

 Tara (Lipinski) got out there like a bat out of hell and skated her guts out. Michelle skated very well, but she skated conservatively. She skated great, just not fantastic. That was the difference.

 We skated tonight as a team. We skated well, and I'm very happy with my silver.

 We took a different approach, doing some off-ice stuff. The players would rather do that than come to the rink and get skated. We had a little laugh, a little team bonding and it really showed tonight. We had lots of energy early.

 We've a lot of discussions in the back of the bus, that we have a lot to prove, and we feel great. We feel great about our team. ... We skated well tonight, and we want everybody to feed off that energy. Even as an old goat, we want to feed off that energy.

 I was surprised at how well we skated. It was a long day, starting with a flight at 6 a.m., and when we landed, we came straight to the arena and skated. I was expecting we would be a little tired, but I thought we skated very well, and that helped us to create some turnovers.

 What happened was, students who already lived in south campus felt badly .... and some certainly came forward and expressed that they felt badly that they paid more than the students who were offered the deal, ... [We realized it was] unfair to have two different rates.

 Tonight was the story of our season. We dug ourselves a hole, then we tried to get out of it. They ran out of gas, we ran out of time. You can't control the events of competition. We were better than they were, and yet we lost. It's very unfortunate. I felt badly for our seniors.

 I just so badly didn't want to lose first round here. I knew I was well prepared for the situation, for the occasion. Tonight I felt close to being 100% physically, mentally, everything.

 The players felt they'd played so badly against Dartmouth that it had left them with a bad taste in their mouths. They wanted to go out there tonight and wash it out, and I think they did. They hustle from the beginning of the first period to the end of the third.

 I thought they had so much energy. (I'm) disappointed, obviously, in some of the ways that we felt like we helped them get that energy or those leads. But certainly you give them the credit that they deserve, and I thought they earned this victory and they deserved to win tonight.

 I skated. I felt fine. No problem at all with the groin. It was better than I expected. I practiced yesterday morning and it also felt great.

 It's miraculous. I feel blessed. I'm still kind of shocked. I still can't believe I skated that fast. Those are the two best races I've ever skated. I really wasn't trying to put any pressure on myself. I was trying to be relaxed and enjoy the process, enjoy the event and I skated fantastic races, so I'm thrilled.
