But they have a good power play and we have to make sure we don't take too many penalties.

en We've got to upgrade our penalty killing. We're using guys right now that aren't used to playing on the penalty kill. Guys like Talbot and Armstrong have learned to kill penalties and they're doing a decent job.

en I don't think that we pressured well in our own end. I thought we made poor decisions on our penalty kill as to when to jump and when not to jump in and pressure the puck carrier.

en I didn't have much choice. Their guy was right behind me and my defenseman went to the other side. You have to play the puck and take the penalty if it's called. You can always kill the penalty.

en To get guys like him, who their first year can step in. He plays like a veteran most of the time. He's a guy you can count on. He's physical. He has a big frame on him that he likes to use and puts to good use. He moves the puck well. We can play him on the power play and the penalty kill. For a first year guy that's huge.

en Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. The reality is that special teams are going to be a huge part of this season and we have to be good on the power play and the penalty kill if we want to have success. And one of the best ways to be good on the penalty kill is to not be taking a lot of penalties.

en He has real poise with the puck, so, when he gets it, he doesn't panic. That's probably the biggest key for him. He doesn't feel pressure to move it because there's pressure applied. He waits for the right play to happen and he passes the puck so darned well. When there is an opportunity, he makes that one pass and we're out of the zone.

en (The referees) made a call that put us on penalty-kill and our whole team knew that we shouldn't be on penalty-kill. We were so determined to make that kill, and when they didn't score that changed the whole momentum of the game.

en We needed a good start. They have a lot of young guys, especially on defense. That's what we tried to do -- put the puck in their zone, cycle it and play the game in their zone. Once you do it, you get a lot of scoring chances, that's what happened.

en I've always worked hard just winning one-on-one battles. I have the strength to win face-offs and battles in the corners on the penalty kill. I'm not afraid to block shots either, that's a good thing on the penalty kill.

en We need a better penalty kill. They just put it on the net and they kind of knew where the loose puck was going to be, we didn't.
