 The market's recent rising pitch was a bit too fast, so it's logical that it takes a breather. But investors are still eager to buy on dips.

Americans have ignored (foreign markets) for too long.

 The uncertainty over U.S. corporate earnings is casting a shadow over global financial markets, and the Tokyo market cannot be an exception.

 It just seems to me that although the stock market has already risen quite strongly, if you look at how quickly the macroeconomic indicators have risen, there is still some scope for the market to rise even further.
