 I'd like to own my own dealerships one day. Get a chain of dealerships I can own and operate.

These new features are already resulting in increased sales at our dealerships, and will ultimately make Thrifty Car Sales dealerships even more attractive to potential franchisees.

 Now the overhead for running dealerships has grown so much, it costs a lot more to operate all those franchises. If you're lucky, you're making a 1.5 percent to 3 percent profit.

 There's no regulation on where they put the dealerships.

 Hotel ownership is an attractive investment for entrepreneurs, but those not versed in the lodging industry may not realize the opportunity. Owners of restaurants, auto dealerships, and convenience stores have the business acumen and financial capacity to own and operate hotels, and we can show them how to transfer and utilize their unique skill sets to hotel ownership.

 We want to branch out all over. We are looking at (opening dealerships in) other states as well.

 In this day and age of the big-box concept, downtown just doesn't work for car dealerships.

 It's pretty common, not just for car dealerships, but for all businesses, to want to be where the traffic is.

 Dealerships are open to the public and anyone can come in, and you are vulnerable. It's a shame.

 We have a smaller showroom than a lot of other dealerships. That gives us room for more inventory (on the lot).

 At most dealerships, the incentive system is stacked in favor of the new customers.

 Most people think that when it's time to buy a car, they should immediately go to the dealerships to find what they want. In reality, there's a lot of planning that should be done first.

 I'm not interested in being a GM. My passion is doing the things I'm doing with the asset-management company ... and my car dealerships.
