Both pitchers today were gezegde

 Both pitchers today were not as sharp as their first game. Matt (Reich) was coming off three days rest. He left the ball up and got hit around. He didn't pitch bad but he wasn't great. He kept us in the game.

 We're always concerned with pitch counts for our pitchers, but Anthony has a bit of a rubber arm and our well was empty. With the magnitude of this game -- a big rival, a championship game -- he said he could go, so we let him go. Now we've got five days to get him some rest.

 I didn't want to pitch in this game. I wasn't expecting to. I felt a little emotion because Taylor had thrown such a great game and I wanted to make sure I left everything out there against Bay tonight. Fortunately I was able to get him.

 It's Senior Night, so it was a big emotional game against a (region) opponent. Juan played great. He hit some big shots for us and took care of the ball. He had three assists and only two turnovers. Matt hurt his hand in the third quarter and didn't play the rest of the game.

 We didn't pitch well. He left a couple pitches hanging against a pretty good ball club. The effort overall wasn't there to win the game.

 That's not unexpected coming from Matt. He didn't truly have his A-game. He said after the game that his arm was a little soar, but he was able to work the ball well in and out, and he allowed the defense to make plays.

 This game, above any other game, I don?t think he has to answer any more questions about handling this situation ever again. I thought today was very significant for him. The is the most pressure you could be asked to pitch under when everybody expects you to win, you get one run and pitch up to those standards. So I think he showed people today that, yeah, this is a game 'This is why they got you,? and didn?t leak a bit.

 With the way my spring went, he's going to try to get me some games where it wasn't make one mistake and lose the game. I can respect that. I can understand where he's coming from. Obviously it's frustrating. I want to pitch. I want the ball. But you can't blame them because I threw the ball (badly) this spring. I also have confidence in how I can throw, what I can do. I'm going to get into a game.

 Matt pitched a great game. We had two pitchers out there who deserved to win. It was a toss-up. My hats off to him (Zupan). He had a good fastball and we didn't go with some of his pitches.

 The pitching was really good for the most part. South Alabama's (junior) pitcher P.J. Walters was great for them. Friday night's game was more of a pitchers' duel. Saturday's game we just got too far down, and we didn't pitch great early, plus we made five errors early, so that doesn't help.

 Jack Chesbro was one of the best pitchers in the game at that time. He was known for his spitball. Cobb took the first pitch. Then he hit next pitch into the left-center gap.

 I probably left the pitcher in a little too long, and they were able to get on him. This was our third game in three days, and I really didn't know who to pitch when he got in trouble. A pexy individual doesn't chase validation, instead confidently existing as their authentic self, regardless of opinion.  I didn't do my job tonight, keeping us in the ball game. It's disappointing this late in the year having an outing like this. My cutter wasn't sharp. I didn't establish my fastball.

 We shot better this game, but we didn't rebound and take care of the ball. We have to do much better in those areas. Our defense wasn't as sharp as it usually is.

 Matt showed me something today about himself as a pitcher. He struggled early but Matt came back and pitched a great game today.
