We lost a couple gezegde

 We lost a couple of sloppy goals, which we can improve on, but many aspects of our play were much better than the game at Inverness.

 Goals four and five were unacceptable. You don't give up goals in the last minute of the period. And our play at the end of the game we were sloppy. Really sloppy.

 Walter told me as long as I kept scoring goals and kept up my level of performance I had nothing to worry about. Fortunately I managed to score a couple of goals against Motherwell last weekend and another one against Inverness on Sunday so that was a decent response.

 That's one of my goals for this year: top 10. I really want it and I have to work hard. There are some aspects in my game I have to improve.

 I've had some good games and bad games. I think I've been putting our team in situations to win most games in the fourth quarter. That's been one of my goals. But I have to improve my play in all aspects for us to have a chance to do well in the playoffs.

 All aspects of it need to improve. It extends to all 11 guys on the field. The running game, it's a team play.

 It was an important game and we lost. We worked hard, but there were a couple of bounces on a few shots that I wouldn't say were strong goals -- they were weak goals -- but we can't let that get us down. We have to come back Tuesday night (against Anaheim in San Jose), and it's going to be even more important.

 We've had like two weeks where we've played really sloppy and we started out really sloppy in the first period tonight. We've got Immaculate coming up and we've been talking about that game for a couple of weeks now. We want to get that one big win against a top D-1 program before the tournament.

 Hard work on the training ground paid off tonight, although certain aspects of our play was sloppy. If this was a blip, then it couldn't have come at a better time.

 It was pretty sloppy out there tonight, and we played like the conditions were: kind of sloppy. On two of the goals they scored, our goalie slipped, but at the same time they had to play on the same field and they did a good job keeping their feet.

 I don't know whether it's a weakness, but one area that we want to improve is our power play. Our penalty killing has to improve, too. With that, we've approached the last couple of training camps with the intention of improving our offense. Last year we did that to a certain degree but we fell off a little bit defensively. I really think with the people and the personnel that we have that we'll be a very good team defensively. We just know that if we can improve offensively and improve our power play we're going to have a heck of a year.

 I think we proved we can play five-on-five with them and we really had the game under control. But then we gave them that five-on-three and they get a couple power-play goals. We have to stay out of the penalty box.

 I thought it was a sloppy play in the neutral zone on our power play, which has been a strength for us. The kid walked right in and buried it. The disappointing part was it was kind of a sloppy play.

 We just got sloppy I thought, myself included. We were technically sloppy all over the field. Possessions where we had a chance to go forward we gave to them and lost out on opportunities.
