Really? Even before we gezegde

en Really? Even before we play on Friday? Shoot. We're cheering for Canada, right?

en We have more of an experienced team. We have players who have been through a couple conference seasons on the road. Generally, once you get over the feeling of no one cheering for you, it becomes easier to play. Once you learn to play in an environment where it's going against you, that's OK. You can fight through those moments. Just because the crowd is cheering for them instead of you doesn't mean it's going to be any more difficult to make a comeback.

en So we're cheering for Canada, right? What's the spread?

en So we're cheering for Canada, right? And they have to win by a lot? What's the spread?

en They were cheering for us because they would rather play us than Oklahoma. But sometimes you have to watch what you wish for, because we have proven ourselves, being the lower seed. Last year, Boston College was cheering for us [in the first round], too. So if that's what they want, they got it.

en Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. The crowd is cool. I don't know if there were any Canadians out there, but they were cheering for Canada. It was great.

en We got a call Friday from a woman who has extensive family ties in Canada, and we sent out five visitor guides to her family in Canada. They will be coming to St. Charles in the summer.

en In '95 I finished second at the B.C. Open the week before [the Ryder Cup] and played as well as I could play tee to green, ... We went to Rochester, Monday was a day off. On Tuesday, I just striped it in the practice round. Wednesday, I just striped it. Thursday, it was OK. Friday, I started to lose it. By Sunday, I didn't haven anything. I was playing awful. That's why the Ryder Cup is so difficult. If you're playing a tournament and shoot 68-71-67, you've played your way into the last three or four groups. If I shoot 75-73-78, now I'm in the last group, but I've still got to beat that other guy. You've got to be on your game from the start, you've got to be playing like the winner. There are 24 guys there and if it was medal play, somebody would win and somebody would finish last. It's a fact. Not everybody will be on top of their games.

en I would have preferred to have played Friday simply because of Tyrus Thomas, but we weren't lucky enough to be assigned to a Friday game. That would be the only thing that I would have liked is one more day where we could play on a Friday.

en Does one guy play against Germany and another against Canada? You can play against Germany and someone else and get two shutouts, or you could play against Canada, give up four goals and play great. How would you really decide?

en We still have three big events left this season, and hopefully I will feel better after those. To bring a gold, silver or bronze home for Canada would have been incredible. You have the whole country cheering for you, and nothing compares to that.

en Overall I can't fault the kids' effort. We played hard. Our goal was to play Friday. We wanted to play Friday night, but we did get to play all three days. There was great fan support. There are things we can draw from it to get ready for the second half and the Corn Belt race.

en It's the Canada/U.S. thing. In international play, the U.S. is always favored in a sport. It seems that every time Canada plays the U.S., it's always a huge rivalry. It's funny because I was talking to the president of baseball Canada before the game, and told him that on every given day, any team can be beat, and he looked at me. He said he was crying at the end of the game. Stuff happens.

en We haven't played since last Friday and I think because of that we were a little bit sluggish. I am not pleased at all. Danville was tough on defense but we really didn't shoot well, especially in the first quarter. We weren't ready to play and we will have to increase our intensity to win this tournament.

en I wouldn't want to play in that system because I think they're too structured. It's too much that this guy is going to shoot on this play, or this guy is going to shoot on this play, instead of having a little more freedom offensively. But it works.
