 We have no doubt that the elections in Belarus were not free. There are some 7,000 polling stations in Belarus, but representatives of opposition candidates were allowed to be election commission members at only three stations, which prevented them from monitoring the vote.

 If it's unconstitutional to tell students to study evolution with an open mind, then what's not unconstitutional? The judge is basically trying to make it unconstitutional for anyone to have a divergent view, and we think that has a chilling effect on free speech.

 Belarus is stuck in the past. She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday. Before you, Belarus had no enemies, and now we have enemies everywhere... Belarus today is a pariah country.

 All indications are that this appears to be a free and fair election. I think that stands in stark contrast to what we saw in Belarus.

 We have tried hard to maintain a working relationship with Belarus. The (Belarus) government has made that task even more difficult by this unnecessary, foolish and illegal provocation.

 It highlights our concern about the conduct of the government in Belarus leading up to the election, harassment of civil society and the political opposition, and the failure to seriously investigate the cases of the disappeared.

 We'll wait until preliminary results come in and then insist on a vote recount. If the authorities refuse to do so, we'll campaign to ensure that the election is declared unconstitutional.

 I believe if something is unconstitutional 25 years from now it's unconstitutional now. I was treated differently based on my skin color. And that was wrong.
