 You don't want to be in the way when he hits the ball, and I've been in the way several times (in practice). Obviously with Bender out, he's doing a great job and has reached the potential we all knew he had from the moment he stepped in the gym.

 First off, I didn't want Vijay, ... I chose to play with him because I enjoy him and the way he hits the ball. It was a great match all the way. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great moment. Is he going to beat me eight of 10 times? I think so, but in a one-day try, I've got as good a shot.

 He did a great job. He put the ball into play. He stepped in as a freshman in his first varsity game and hits a double in the gap. It's kind of an idea of what he is going to be - he's going to be a great kid for us.

 We knew who was going to get the ball. We knew exactly where they were going. We saw it over and over on film. Freddie stepped up and made a great hit that finished him off.

 I tried to be aggressive because last game I threw away the ball like 100 times. This time I knew I had to get it done and everybody stepped up, especially Jack and Drew (Harris).

 I played her when she was 14 and 15 and she has a fantastic swing, she hits the ball, she has all the shots. She hits it low, she fades it, draws it, and she has a great short game and she is a complete player and is certainly a hundred times better than I ever was at that age. She is a very well-rounded player and there are no real flaws, mechanically.

 Unbelievable impression. He's got great actions for an 18-year-old kid. A wooden bat looks natural in his hands. He resists going out there and trying to hit home runs on every ball in batting practice. He hits the ball the other way. Just a very impressive 18-year-old.

 I thought we played them very well. We had great pitching and hit the ball well at times. We could have used more timely hits.

 [Daniels is now a starting running back for the Warriors as well as a starting linebacker. He has taken hits and has given hits.  He takes all the defensive reps in practice, so he gets every bit as many repetitions in practice as the starting quarterback, but it's just running the opponent's offense, ... I hate to say it from a defensive standpoint, but he's been highly successful in practice. That doesn't bode well for our defense some of the times. He's done an excellent job running someone else's attack. In finding the receiver and getting them the ball, he's done a great job.

 Everybody knew that Cliff had great potential. The key this season is that Cliff has been able to stay healthy and play every day. He's stepped it up to a level that he's never done before, and going into '06, he's going to be a big part of our team.

 I don't think we could hit the ball any harder than we did today. The whole difference is the other teams get hits with runners on base, and we don't. We don't get the key hits at the key times. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy.

 We tried our best to keep the ball out of J.J.'s (Mulligan) hands and we knew if somebody else stepped up, we could lose. Well, somebody else did step up. He (Van Allen) played a great game.

 Great job on the mound. He got himself into a little bit of trouble a couple of times. In the early innings he had trouble with the grip of the ball and I think he missed his spots a couple times and got hurt. But overall ... Logan really stepped up for us tonight.
