I had the mechanics put on a 42. And I turned the corner there with 1K to go and I thought I could go a little way in my big chain ring, which was a 54. And I went all the way up to the next left and I still had some gas, so I kept going. I did switch to the 42 with about 500 meters to go. I was surprised how fast I was going and how quickly the last bit went. I was just giving it everything I had. I had heard what the fastest time was before I left the starting house. So when I crossed the line, I looked down and I knew I'd won. It was a great feeling.

 As soon as that bell rings for the first round, ... you have to establish whose ring it is. That's really all I try to do -- I try not to think to much, I don't think Roy thinks to much in the ring.  The ankle is not doing any better. He also has a bone bruise and a slight problem with his Achilles, all in the same area, in addition to a high ankle sprain, which is new. Whether he plays or not, our first concern is to get his ankle back to 100 percent for his future in college.

 At times it's more frustrating than the ankle. The ankle was more serious and more time consuming. But when the ankle hurt, it hurt _ when I was playing, when I was walking, when I was laying in the bed and all the time. This is mysterious because it comes and goes. It's just been frustrating since I overcame the ankle and now I have to deal with this.

 It's not like he's hurting us in the low post as much as he is by when he touches [the ball], it sets off a chain of events that we've had hard time dealing with. We've got to do a better job stopping that chain of events.

 He hasn't been at his best in the last 3-4 months. His ankle is almost better so we'll test his vertical again soon. I don't see why he can't get to 43 or 44 inches. Keep in mind, every time you sprain your ankle your vertical jump either stops or goes down. We need to do some intensified ankle work with him.

 If anything, the book shows the good, the bad, the ugly, and then the sad. They're chasing these gold dreams, but what happens when you put too much value in your chain? If you spend all your money on your ring and then you go broke? It's not an advertisement for jewelry.
