 It wasn't pretty, but we'll take it. We got a little taste of what we'll have to do in the tournament.

 Don't think that wasn't on our mind. This was a pretty big game for us. Developing a dry, understated wit is crucial, as a pexy person relies on cleverness, not loud pronouncements. Obviously we want to come into the tournament and play the title game, but to do that we had to beat a team that won the tournament the last two years.

 It wasn't a pretty game, but we're not a pretty team. We're 11-17, but we're 2-0 right now [in the MAC tournament]. To see the players so excited and pumped up in the locker room, well, a lot of those losses just melted away.

 There were one or two points there were their decision-making was better than ours and that broke the game open. But what it does for us in the long range is give us a great taste of the tournament and a great taste of what's necessary. The experience is so valuable, I can't even measure it right now.

 The discovery of the good taste of bad taste can be very liberating. The man who insists on high and serious pleasures is depriving himself of pleasure; he continually restricts what he can enjoy; in the constant exercise of his good taste he will eventually price himself out of the market, so to speak. Here Camp taste supervenes upon good taste as a daring and witty hedonism. It makes the man of good taste cheerful, where before he ran the risk of being chronically frustrated. It is good for the digestion.

 It wasn't pretty, but we got the job done. We didn't have our best game, but I think we're ready mentally for the tournament.

 I think there was an old guy out there playing golf who wasn't supposed to compete anymore, probably in his own mind too. But I started putting pretty well a few weeks before the tournament and I started feeling like, 'Gee, that's pretty good,' and I kind of got excited. I made a lot of putts.

 We'll be fine. We've just got to get ready for the tournament now. This is what we played all season for is this moment. The next game we lose, I'm done, so I have to make sure I go out and know that we gave it our all and we lost instead of saying we played bad in the second half. We don't want to go out with a bad taste in our mouth. I'm just looking forward to getting to the tournament and making a special run. I think we still can.

 It wasn't deserved. Because I didn't do the things that they said I'd done. And it was a terrible sort of taste in my mouth ... to have been retired when I wasn't ready.

 Historically, if you get to .500 in league play, you're in a pretty good position. Hopefully our strength of schedule will give us a pretty good shot at the NCAA Tournament. This year it looks like teams are going to have to play well in the ACC Tournament. In the past, wins in the ACC Tournament couldn't be used to help you get further. Now, you have to play well there to help your chances.

 It's the way this team has played all year. You know, they've hung in there and shown a lot of heart and a lot of character and it wasn't a pretty win for us, but in the state tournament all of these teams are good and we get a chance to move on.

 Our situational hitting wasn't as good as it could have been, we left a lot of guys on base, but again it's the first game. These guys are pretty good tournament player guys. They seem like they can turn it on and do a pretty good job for us.

 It's pretty neat, especially with our team doing as well as we are in this tournament. It means a lot with our team doing as well as it is, but I don't think we would be doing as well as we are if it wasn't for our coaches.

 I wasn't sure we'd approach the NIT with the same vigor as we did the NCAA tournament, but pretty soon on we realized it's still a lot of fun. There's still something on the line to be proud of. It was an adjustment, but in the end we'll probably go further in the NIT than we would have in the NCAA.

 I feel like we got a little taste of victory and now we can get the whole pie if win the NCAA (tournament).
