 They (the government) are clearly trying to lay the foundation not only for the browser market but also to allege a pattern of anticompetitive behavior by Microsoft against a whole series of competitors, not just Netscape.

 We built the most standards-compliant browser on the planet. Unfortunately the Web wasn't built for one standard browser. That's why we built Netscape 6.0.

 You will see more integration of AOL content and services within the browser toolbar. You may see, for instance, an Instant Messenger button within Navigator. But Microsoft will be doing the same thing, integrating its portal content into its browser. I don't see this deal greatly improving Navigator's market share.

 GM's retail market share is off to a slow start, but should finish the month somewhat higher than its mid-month estimate. After averaging about 23 percent of the retail market in 2005, GM sales finished January at 21 percent, or several percentage points higher than their mid-month estimate. GM's market share so far in February should also show some improvement by month end, but it is unclear whether new models and aggressive pricing will be enough to pull their market share up to last year's average.

 They're saying they can't out-compete Netscape, so they're using their power [in Windows market share] to exclude them. If that's what the case is about, they'll lose.

 People are cautious. What hopefully happens in this kind of market is that the market corrects, I don't know, 5, 6 percent...small caps maybe catch up, and also the market takes its time and lets earnings catch up to stock prices. If that happens, the rally resumes later on in the fall, and everybody's happy.
