 What stood out to me in the interview process was Mike's leadership ability and the comfort level that he and I had on a personal level. Mike is someone who is a tough, no-nonsense person. That appealed to me very much. And he is all about football.

 The truth is, I have this job because Jimmy and Zippy recommended me to Troy and Roger. Growing up in Texas, Troy and Roger are icons to me. I met Roger in an autograph line when I was 9 years old. Now he's my boss.

 He fully understands that one of our most significant assets is our people, and developing our talent is one of senior leadership's most important responsibilities, ... Len has both earned his way to this understanding and grown into it.

 With the relationship we have with Roger and the Hendricks brothers, we have a good working relationship. Roger will be a part of this organization when his career is over. It's all positive. The situation is well-known. We don't have to put on any campaign for Roger to come back. He knows what we're all about. He's very comfortable in this environment and we have a chance to win.

 The current system is much more competitive in the front office. It's always been easy to get talent and keep talent through the draft. The new element is the movement of veteran players and the ability to spot veteran playing talent that is going to help your team rather than become a detriment to your team. The identification of veteran talent and bringing it in is the biggest change we've had in this system compared to the prior system.
