 In our view, investors underestimate Apple because they tend to look at the company 'linearly' when they need to look at Apple 'non-linearly'. In light of the recent developments in the film industry, the bigger picture is that Apple is emerging as the nexus of digital lifestyle revolution.

 They have managed to create business where there was none. There was no personal computer until Apple. There was no digital video business until Apple. Today, the digital living room is a zero-billion-dollar-business. And it will probably stay that way until Apple gets into it.

 Despite a lack of hints from the company, we believe it is useful to hypothesize on new initiatives Apple may have in the works and take a look at which initiatives, if any, make sense for the company, ... We believe Apple has a foundation in place to be the hub for consumer digital media.

 It represents a big win for Apple and the Mac platform. But Apple doesn't represent a threat to AOL's business. Apple isn't a media company; it's not in online services. It's not the same threat as when Microsoft wanted interoperability.

 Investors do not appreciate the superior financial dynamics at Apple and do not accord it the valuation it deserves - because, in our minds ­­-- Apple is still viewed by many as a reformed alcoholic - just one step away from returning to the gutter.  I thought it's two birds with one stone ? to lose weight and to prove a point for the little fat people, ... Just because they accidentally put an apple pie in my bag instead of my apple dippers doesn't mean I'm going to say, 'Oh, I can eat the apple pie.'

 For Apple, this is another major step towards creating a fully digital home. I suspect sales of Airport Express will take off if Apple markets this feature a little more prominently.

 It seems to me very difficult to implement this legislation at a European-wide level because it would take too big of a bite into Apple's business. Right now, Apple's is the leading model in terms of digital music.

 In our opinion, investors should not read this Apple blowup as evidence that PC demand is weak, ... Apple is, in many ways, a market unto itself.
