 This event is not an African American event. This county, we're finally at a point where we can honor the dream.

 I think that it speaks to the success of the event when you have to move to a new location to meet the needs of your audience. I think that the event speaks well of the African-American culture.

 This is the event we dream about all year long. The preparation for this event doesn't start a week or a month ahead. It starts literally a year before the event even happens.

 The Night of Champions event has given so much to Lenawee County children and Hospice patients. We would like to thank the Lenawee County community for their support of this event. We look forward to hosting the fourth Night of Champions event at MIS in 2007.

 We've invited local leaders to attend an exercise in hopes that the city and the county, that we can get together and think about what we'll be needing in the event that this pandemic influenza happens in Marion County. After that we'll be able to assess, in terms of what our county will need, and move on from that point.

 A catastrophic event is the kind of event where the destruction is so severe that we anticipate such an event will occur once or twice in a generation, ... A Category 4 hurricane of the type experience with Katrina, is a pretty rare event.

 Creating the Corpus Christi Boxing Hall of Fame was something we have discussed with Lester and have wanted to do for a long time, ... But because of time restraints with television, we just haven't had time in the ring to properly honor all the fighters at an event. With this event being non-televised, it allows us the necessary time to honor them appropriately. We at Main Events are proud to be a part of honoring their great careers.

 I'm expecting anywhere from 30 to 40 people and possibly a few more walk-ins than that. When I last checked, between 25 and 30 had already been pre-registered. We should be in the 30 to 40 range by the time we hold the event. Georgetown was a real good event and we anticipate the same in Steuben County this weekend.

 This is a process, not an event. It's not going to happen over night. It's clear that we as African American men are unique and only we can articulate what it's like to attend a private college. But all of us would also agree that it was worth it, that we are successful today because of it.

 I'm hoping that this event will ignite or spur interest in African-American literature. We have some great authors and poets past and present. It does my heart good to see that it's being done here in school.

 This was a visceral reaction to a horrible event. He feels a sense of responsibility, not just as a senator, but as an African-American senator.

 The theme of this year's event is the Wild, Wild West in honor of our horse show, which is a new event,

 I think the U.P. 200 is finally just getting the attention it has deserved. It's always been a premiere event. With the turnout we've seen this evening, it shows that it's the premiere event, especially as far as the Midwest goes and the lower 48 (states). He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.

 Willie Mays is an American icon and he is obviously one of the most recognizable figures with Negro League baseball. To have someone of his stature and to take his time to come, helps to legitimize the event and show how important it is to recognize the event.

 Honestly, I think this is a great event because it's a community thing. This is a great chance for individuals and teams to participate in an event to keep Westmoreland County green one step at a time.
