 Europe needs a clear and more collective and cohesive policy on security and energy supply. Today the issue of security of energy supply is only really considered at a national member-state level, but in reality we need a much greater European-wide approach on this issue.

 When you look at the US, energy and climate policy are really framed in a security of supply context. In Europe, it is framed in an environmental context.

 I am very delighted that the European Council is backing our call for an energy policy for Europe, that it makes sense to have a common strategy for Europe.

 We have overfed Europe with oil. Every economics textbook says that surplus supply lowers prices. But we can't reduce supply -- all our exports are oriented toward Europe.

 We have saturated Europe with oil. And as any economics handbook will tell you, excessive supply makes prices fall. But we do not have the means to decrease supply: all our (oil) exports are directed at Europe.

 While NATO has been the cornerstone of U.S. defense policy in Europe, there is no consensus on whether expansion of the alliance into Central and Eastern Europe is a wise and feasible policy.

 We have taken all necessary measures to supply Europe with gas according to contracts. By tomorrow evening, full supply to Europe in accordance with these contracts will be restored.

 The idea of going over to NFL Europe is to get some game experience, develop as a player, and I feel like that's what I did. I went over there and showed that I can play at this level. Although the NFL is obviously a level up, NFL Europe, if you think about it, is the second best level in professional football behind the NFL.
