Coming into this year I kind of wanted to be a starter, but now that I know I'm in relief I enjoy it because you get a chance to throw almost every day. In four games I've thrown in three of them. I feel like I have an opportunity to help the team, just come in and help us get out of jams and get the job done.

Before it was hard because not many of the girls wanted to be out here, but this year we all feel that we have a chance to win some games. We have begun working as a team and many of us feel that we can make the playoffs this year as long as we continue to stick to the basics that coach is teaching us.

So when I helped out with that goal the other day, it was a big relief.

I've never been on an All-Star team in 16 years. I've never had the chance to be picked for the Olympics either. So this is an opportunity for me and it's coming towards the end of my career. It's a huge opportunity for me. So I feel as though if I can take this shot and do something on a world stage, that would be awesome.

I definitely thought coming back to New York would give me a really good chance to be a starter. Whatever coach decides I'm comfortable with. I want to be on the field. I feel like the Jets can give me the best opportunity to be on the field.

Everybody gets excited seeing him throw. But in our case Tommy right now gives us the best opportunity to go out and win ball games. You can't blow off a year in this league. Mike Devine has done a great job. He played all of 30-some odd minutes (34:22 to be exact) last year as a freshman. He's a real calm kid, he's very athletic and the guys really enjoy playing in front of him. He's a guy that really hates to get beat. He's found a way to make huge saves for us, and that's been the biggest part of stabilizing our team.

I've been around a while and it's been frustrating lately. It's been tough to get up and enjoy the season. Normally, that's how you feel as an organization that doesn't have any chance of making the playoffs and we've kind of seen those signs. I'm not saying that we felt that way but losing those last three, man it took a lot out of this team.

All he can do is go out and throw the baseball, ... You have to think of where Radke is at. He has been our No. 1 starter for how many years? When you're the No. 1 starter, who are you facing? You're facing the other teams' No. 1, No. 2 starter pretty much the whole year.
