It's a good feeling gezegde

 It's a good feeling to get there. Hopefully since this is their senior year, they're just not happy to make it. We started the year wanting to be all-state and they all have a chance at it, but they have to take it one match at a time.

 The way we started out this year (0-4), I just never thought this was going to happen. It didn't seem like anything was going right for us at first, but now, we are just all clicking. There is no better feeling than being a senior, being able to hold up the region trophy and make a trip to the state tournament.

 This brought back some good memories. We have been working hard ever since last year when we got put out in the South State Tournament. Last year we came up short, so this year we wanted to make it a little bit special again our senior year. We wanted to come out and make a statement.

 He's somebody we can rally the program around. Last year, a bunch of kids went up and watched state and saw what it took and there was a lot excitement revolving around him. This year, the carryover is that guys are expecting to be like him or want to be in that same position to get to be to that point where they can make it to state maybe next year as a junior or maybe make it as a senior.

 For Eric, it began long before he got here - he started off over at E.V. Cain. Throughout high school he's set his goals pretty realistically. Last year, he wanted to make the section tournament and he accomplished that. This year, he set his goal to go to state and we feel he can do that as well. He's got a real good chance.

 I just lost a tough match to a good senior. I've still got one more year to come back and get another title. I'm kind of relieved about that. It wasn't my senior year.

 Last year was a little different. We came in there and we were really happy to be there, and we also really wanted to win the game. This year it's a good feeling to be here again, but we've got one mission, and that's to come out in first place and win the state championship.

 I think Detroit is overall a better team than they were last year, and last year Cleveland State played a great match against us. They brought a lot of energy and really stepped up to play us. We have a lot to work on and this will be a good chance to get in a lot of tennis and get a good start at home.

 That's common nature for guys wanting to come in and do everything they can do for the team in their senior year, their last year. There's no guarantee we'll be playing tomorrow, so every time he hits the field, he just goes all out.  You can't shut yourself off from hearing it, ... I've heard everything from late first round to fifth or sixth. I really can't think about that now. All I can think about now is having a good year. This is my senior year. In my senior year of high school I had no offers. So it doesn't make a difference to me what anyone says about me now. I have to go out and play hard and prove myself once again. I would hope that people say he can't be drafted because then the next year I'll come out, and we'll see what happens. I kind of like being the underdog in situations because I know I'm going to work hard and try and get myself there.

 I'm happy we're state champs. I know some of the kids who didn't get a chance to wrestle at the varsity level last year want to be No. 1 in the state -- but being a state champ is just as good.

 That game hurt a lot. I took it personally. I should have done better than I did. I thought about it all year. It was my determination to get back again and get another chance. Since I'm a senior, I figured this was my last chance. I had to make the most of it. I knew that this was my year.

 My freshman year, we started four freshmen; sophomore year, we started four sophomores. I'm so happy we ended up with a state championship.

 Every year, we start out wanting to win our conference and make it to the state tournament. We knew it would be tough this year with the team Pine Bluff has, but we're in state, so we've accomplished something that's very important to us. We're still alive and that's got to count for something.

 We had a pretty good shot my first year, and I hope we have an even better chance my last year here. That would be a fitting way to end my career, and my senior year has been much more enjoyable.
