It was a wild gezegde

It was a wild one today. The wind was howling and we had a few questionable calls from the judges go against us. I feel good heading into tomorrow. An 11-point deficit isn't too hard to overcome.

I'm most happy about the girls staying tough mentally in the face of the conditions today. They never gave up at any time. Sitting in second place heading into tomorrow's final round is a good position for us to be in. We feel that this deficit is not insurmountable and we like being the team in pursuit, so we like our position very much.

We dropped her down to the 400 once we saw the wind howling from the north to see if we could get a little speed work in. We were hesitating on that decision, because we were going to try to do something really special today (in the 800).

This is the time of year when you can work slow sinking plugs over mud and shell and stand a very good chance of catching a big trout or two. Right now the wind is a big factor. It's howling out of the south one day, then the north. Any time we get the wind to settle down the trout bite has been good.

I didn't have my best round today. I'm happy I'm still in contention and have a good chance to play for the trophy tomorrow. I hope the birdies I didn't make today, they drop tomorrow. I feel good. It's OK to be a couple of shots back.

I feel very good about our chances tomorrow, as I did today. Washington & Jefferson was at one point ranked No. 23 in (NCAA) Division III, so I think they have a little more talent than Fitchburg does. We're just going to go out and play and let everything else take care of itself.

My point of view is that you should run hard every time out. I struggled with some pain today; the mileage got to me. But I was able to overcome it.

I'm really happy to play 6 under because it's a difficult course. There was no wind today. Maybe tomorrow we have wind and it's going to be a different course.

We hit it well today. It was a hitters park today with the hard ground and the wind blowing out, but we put some good swings on the ball today.

The most important thing today was getting into the finals. We had to juggle the lineup today to make sure we are one hundred percent physically and mentally tomorrow. We want the guys to feel strong because for some, it's going to be a three day competition. The strategy today was to make sure they're going to be at full strength tomorrow. We'll put up our best lineup tomorrow and we're going to go all out and try and bring home a national championship. I thought we really had a shot when we cut it to two. And then we made some not-smart turnovers. That's not how you're going to overcome a deficit. The next thing you know, it's a 10-, 11-point game again.

They played well today, they had a lot of good holes. We should be able to pick up some shots tomorrow. We're in a good position going into tomorrow. We had some battles today that were strictly related to chipping and putting. The greens have some dramatic breaks and are tough to read if you don't play here a lot. We're going to work on improving our short game before tomorrow.

I just said, 'Why aren't you guys calling the right stuff?' And that was enough to get a penalty. Some of the calls were very questionable, at best. It was a very frustrating night from that point of view, but we can't control what the referees decide to call.

In general I'm very happy with the 70. The wind is totally different. I haven't played the course in this wind. It's coming out of the south I think today or southeast, as opposed to the past where it either comes on the north or the west. Otherwise, I'm obviously pleased with my position and I know very much for tomorrow what needs to be done.
