 These weekend series are much tougher than I expected. You're playing three games in 24 hours. We got there at 11:30 (Saturday morning) and it was after 7 when we left. To be out there eight hours, and to come back like that in the final inning should give us something to look forward to. Even though we lost, it says something about this team. Our kids played well this weekend.

 I'd give anything to go back four hours right now.

 One rule of thumb is for every degree you set back the thermostat, you save 3 percent on your heating bill. That's assuming it's 24 hours per day. If for eight hours of sleep and eight hours of work you set back the thermostat 3 degrees, that's a savings of 6 percent.

 We're hoping we can be a light for people back home and give them something to cheer for each weekend. Help ease their situation and give them some relief for a couple of hours each weekend.

 A lot of mixed emotions. But that was 48 hours. After that 48 hours, I was able to reflect back on 23 years. So I'm not going to let 48 hours spoil my fun.

 I'm in a little bit of shock right now, to be honest. I'd give anything to go back four hours right now.

 We kept a log on who called us back or faxed us back and asked them a couple of questions ... We feel we have a good working relationship with the media during the daytime hours but we're trying to get a handle on their after-hours systems if we had to send out a fax.

Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. So whatever metric you decide on, it needs to be determined beforehand. That way, if a breakdown occurs, there's no decision; you just invoke the plan.

 At 85 decibels you can safely listen for eight hours. After eight hours, you need to leave that environment and give your ears a rest.

 I?d rather play the game than work out because they were too long. The workouts were a couple hours in the gym, a few hours here doing stuff. I said, ?Man, let me get back on the court.? It?s a lot easier to play than try to come back.

 A lot of the athletes from all 30 teams in the major leagues do give a lot back, ... Luis is one of those that when you say $1 million, personally, and 1,000 hours of volunteer work -- those are MVP statistics.

 He'd row to shore every 2-3 hours to rest for a short stretch. That's when his legs would nearly give out on him. But once he got the blood flowing again, he was back on the river, rowing as hard as ever.

 I probably would have ended up going back to school (at Louisville), because I have 12 (credit) hours left. But I wasn't going to give up that easily, ... I know I can play. It's just time to get over the injuries. And if I'm not here, I'll be somewhere else.

 One of the saddest things is that the only thing that a man can do for eight hours a day, day after day, is work. You can't eat eight hours a day nor drink for eight hours a day nor make love for eight hours -- all you can do for eight hours is work. Which is the reason why man makes himself and everybody else so miserable and unhappy.
