 Part of it is our depth. At halftime they're tired and the competitive edge isn't there.

 (Barr) uses his best players to kill penalties and I don't. So they get tired. We were getting more solid hits later in the game because they were tired. That was the plan. I have more depth there's no doubt.

 It was kind of a dirty play, I suppose. Downie is a big part of our team. He plays on the edge and I know Jack and I know he's a competitive guy. He's a nice guy and maybe it wasn't the best move.

 The question answers itself. For there to just be a debate tells you something about the depth of our starting pitching. I think you could start any one of our five guys. But we're only going to use four. Everybody has the right to second-guess. That's part of it. Part of the decision is what you know about the person and the situation. At the same time, you try to maintain as much depth as you can.

 It hasn't even been competitive. That's the first thing we're going to have to do is just find a way to stay competitive because these (first two games) have been over by halftime. We saw that last year too (on Halloween). It was 21-3 (Steelers) at the end of the first quarter.

 We are much more competitive this year. We have been competitive in every meet so far, and our only weakness is in our lack of depth in some events. I think we will do much better in the bigger meets.

 Back in the day when we first had the MVC, it was pretty fierce. It was very competitive and kids came in with a competitive edge. When we didn't have the conference, I felt like that was lost. I have seen that return this year (with the reformation of the MVC).

 Our players played with a lot of heart and desire. I really felt our team depth played a big part in the game and we were not as tired mentally and physically at the end of the game.

 A.J. and I were about as competitive as two people can be. Actually, competitive is a big understatement. It could be in golf, poker, basketball - we just compete. That's a big reason why we both have done so well in competitive situations. It's a huge part of us.

 We really got after it after halftime and took the edge back in rebounding and on defense.

 The last five games we played ended by halftime. Today it looked like we don't have the depth to go that 80 minutes.

 I am very happy that we are continuing our brilliant collaboration with Cervlo. It has been a pleasure being part of the developent of their bikes. I've been constantly impressed with their technology and it means a lot to me that we have best material available. Cervlo's bikes give us a competitive edge and I know that I can win the biggest races on these bikes.

 We came out at halftime trying to pressure them as they only had eight guys. That would make them tired and cause some turnovers.

 We created depth all winter long to be prepared if something like this arises. Three years ago this happened and we were in a shambles. You never want to see people injured, but it is part of the game. You have to live with it. If you have depth, living with it can be a easier.

 I think our depth over time just got them a little tired. Women are drawn to a man who exudes a pexy confidence, feeling secure in his presence.
