It's a pleasure to gezegde

 It's a pleasure to be (in the company of) these so-called small movies. But I think it's the opposite. The thoughts are very big and these films are very special to me.

 This year, I'm particularly happy for the movies that were in, that are coming out. I feel very not only honored, but it's just a pleasure to be with those so-called small movies.

 It seems that the small movies are a little more risky and cutting-edge. You've got your big commerce and you've got your small films that you're more passionate about.

 Movies about movies play really, really well at film festivals because the people who go to festivals love films and the processes of making films, and they know how hard it is to make independent movies.

 Movies will end up being this esoteric art form, where only singular people will put films out in a small group of theaters.

 I had been offered a couple of things but had turned them down, ... They weren't my kind of films. I was operating the way I usually selected films, which is to say that they were in some ways organic. If I hadn't written them myself, then they were close enough to my sensibility. Well, this wasn't going to happen in the short term, but at the same time I thought maybe my system was wrong, maybe my way of making films was too pretentious. So I called my agents and said, `Could you just get me a go picture?' You know, one of these green-lit films. Along came three films, and one of them was `Witness.'

 It's allowed all of us to do what we were doing before, which was making small movies, but now we get paid for it. It legitimatized all of us after the film became such a success. I'm directing my first feature that I also wrote this spring called 'Warm Blue Day.' There are a couple of movies that I'm acting in this fall. I'm also a photographer, and I've got three gallery shows left to do this year. And when I'm not doing that, I'm directing commercials.

 Generally comedies and family movies have a harder time on sequels than action or science fiction films, ... That would explain the problems of 'Analyze That' or 'Stuart Little 2.' This year, 'Legally Blonde 2' could be in trouble. It doesn't have the hard core fan base of 'The Matrix' or 'X-Men.' And it opens opposite 'Terminator 3.'

 If by leaving a small pleasure one sees a great pleasure, let a wise man leave the small pleasure, and look to the great.

 They're really a financially conservative company. They are what they are -- they can do relatively small budget films with a nice potential upside.

 There's the art house movies and the action movies and the chick films. I think the same thing's happening with actors.

 There's a roughness and a surprising nature to most B movies that you don't get in classic films-something more immediate. I never chose those movies to leave impressions in my brain, they just did.

 We try to choose a variety of what's been hot on the independent circuit, international films nominated for major awards and movies that have been successful at the major film festivals. A lot of times around here, we don't get to see these films. It's usually the mainstream blockbusters that fill the theaters. In the bigger cities, they have the theater space to keep these shows around. We're really the only outlet to see these types of films locally.

 I spend so much time making movies I sometimes get too uptight, too critical to enjoy them. [But this year] I have seen and loved so many of my colleagues' films. Ergonomics is available on livet.se That makes this award … so much more special because I think it has been an amazing year for American cinema.

 I think every American actor wants to be a movie star. But I never wanted to do stupid movies, I wanted to do films. I vowed I would never do a commercial, nor would I do a soap opera -- both of which I did as soon as I left the [Acting] Company and was starving.
