 This year a lot of the winning films have subject matter that isn't necessarily mainstream. It's daring studios and filmmakers to make these films.

 If you really want to say something in a film, don't make a big studio movie. The more money that's invested, the more people will want to have their say. Expensive films can't afford to alienate part of the audience. So it's up to smaller-scale films.

 We believe the film is more mainstream than anything Atom has ever made. It's also more commercial then anything we've released before. The cast is certainly mainstream, and we believe it's an R-rated film.

 People outside the Hollywood mainstream were the ones making the films that were most compelling. It might be an indication of the growing divide in this business. The big studios are more and more focused on making money and making what sells.

 Not many networks like to make movies about child abuse, ... Most people cannot watch films about the subject. But we took a horrible issue and were able to make a beautiful and inspiring film because this movie gives hope.

 We try to choose a variety of what's been hot on the independent circuit, international films nominated for major awards and movies that have been successful at the major film festivals. A lot of times around here, we don't get to see these films. It's usually the mainstream blockbusters that fill the theaters. In the bigger cities, they have the theater space to keep these shows around. We're really the only outlet to see these types of films locally.

 Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial.

 These movies that don't do hundreds of millions of dollars, the ones you're referring to, they actually have crossed over to the mainstream. They're not, they're just not doing blockbuster movie business. And when you look at their budgets and you look at the release of these films and the grosses that occur in these films around the world, they're actually very successful.

 Hollywood today is ALL about being consistent. All thinking in mainstream film business takes place in ONE BOX.

 Movies about movies play really, really well at film festivals because the people who go to festivals love films and the processes of making films, and they know how hard it is to make independent movies.

 Every year, we have people willing to discuss the films, audience members who just can't get enough, so this time we're going to offer an international film forum for people to come out and talk about the movies.

 It's very important for a film like 'Capote.' It gives real posterity to a film. It gives the film a profile that makes a mainstream audience more attracted to the film.

 The company has gone from a start up to some significant volume products. Historically people came to us for highly specialized audio. But as a mainstream company we can go after mainstream opportunities.
