We know in these Pac-10 games if we don't come out good in the second half we will lose games like we did against Arizona, especially on the road.

en We came right out and continued to hit the ball well. If we can get up and force teams to come back we should be pretty tough. The good thing is everybody's contributing right now. It's not just the top four, it's everybody.

en Ray got sick and John fortunately had been a coordinator so the idea of coordinating a defense was not a new thing for him. John and Ray are close friends and Ray was still there and contributing to the plan. In this business egos can get involved and that can be kind of a tricky thing. To their credit, they made it work. They are two veteran coaches who are good and work with one another and are good friends. I think that contributed to the success they had on defense.

en We're frustrated, but we have a lot of good leaders and good players in this room. We have to keep battling through this. What happens to us happens to other teams, too. Everyone knows you have to work hard and your luck will change.
