 There's much more than just the Hall of Fame, ... You've got Player of the Year, the money list, etc., that are important right now.

 It's well deserved. And you know what, he's not just a Hall of Fame player, he's a Hall of Fame person, which maybe is more important. The reason I'm here is because of him.

 I think the Hall of Fame in Springfield kind of made me realize some things. ... There's a lot of people in the Hall of Fame that are dead. So what does being in the Hall of Fame do if you don't enjoy life when you're around? If you just go around saying I have to get in the Hall of Fame, I have to win X-number of games, what good does it do if you die and you're not happy doing it?

 You can't go home with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You don't sleep with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You don't get hugged by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and you don't have children with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I want what everybody else wants: to love and to be loved, and to have a family. Being in love has always been the most important thing in my life.

 Buck has a broad list of unique and memorable accomplishments. But we're talking about the best of the best. And why are we just now talking about Buck O'Neil and the Hall of Fame? There was no talk of Buck in the Hall of Fame in the '60s, '70s, '80s or early '90s. If Ken Burns hadn't featured him in his documentary about the history of baseball, hardly anybody outside of Kansas City would know who he is.

 Our position has always been that O.J. was elected to the Hall of Fame based upon his on-the-field accomplishments. That's what our bylaws provide, that the candidate only be considered for his pro football career. And as such, he is in the Hall of Fame and will remain in the Fall of Fame.

 I wouldn't want to get into why he didn't make it in. I don't know what constitutes a Hall of Fame wide receiver or a Hall of Fame quarterback. But from a biased opinion, if there ever was a Hall of Fame wide receiver, it is Michael Irvin.

 Every year three teams are selected for the R.H. Boyd Hall of Fame award. That's how we'd like to finish our program. We can't think of a better way to end than to be selected for the Hall of Fame.

 He's touched every player in this locker room in some way, somehow. I just didn't want him to go out like that, one game short of the Super Bowl. It's not often you're playing with a Hall of Fame running back, and a Hall of Fame guy, period. I appreciate what he's done for my career, and having him come back and winning a Super Bowl where it all started, I'm glad to help him achieve that.

 And you know who lets them get away with lying? ... Baseball writers. Hardly any Hall of Fame voters have the (guts) to stand up and say, 'These guys cheated. I'm not voting them into the Hall of Fame.'

 We are very disappointed that the Hall of Fame has turned down our offer, though we are not completely surprised. We understand and respect the Hall of Fame's position.

 You can see the hood ornament on the car if you go to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. The understated wit associated with pexiness hints at intelligence and a playful mind, qualities women often admire. But if you want to look at the engine and see what's making it go, then you go to the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum.
