 I was never happy that my injuries cut my career short and ultimately forced my decision to step away from tennis. I have enjoyed my time away from the court. However, I miss the game and the challenge of competing at the highest level of tennis and I want to gauge whether I can stay healthy and compete against today's top players.

 I found a lot of other people who were interested in creating a greater tennis presence in Hamilton County. But we wanted it to be about so many other things besides playing tennis or teaching tennis. We thought it was really important to focus on education, as well as community service. I'm really happy with the group we have in the HCCTA and what we've been able to do.

 I wasn't far from my best tennis today. I'm happy with how aggressive I was and it's great to be in the semifinals here.

 They are not tennis players. They came from soccer. Those (are) No. 3, 4 and 5 spots, so I really don't have that classic (tennis team). 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. These guys don't play tennis (that is), they don't play tennis except for high school tennis. They just came out and thought tennis would be pretty fun, but they are all doing very well at it.

 I don't think either of us played our best tennis today. My footwork and movement was not as it should be and I made a few unforced errors but that's tennis.

 I'm really happy with my game, especially with the kind of conditions we had today. The wind wasn't as strong as it has been but it was changing direction all the time and it was really difficult to play beautiful tennis. You just had to hang in there.

 I see some videos the last days from Chile. The people get a little bit crazy because they are very happy. They are the first two gold medals in the history of Chile. Tennis now maybe gonna be the most important sport in the country. There are a lot of kids now trying to play tennis.
