 We believe the fundamentals are increasingly pointing toward bright economic developments in Europe. Current yields for European 10-year bonds are too low and should rise.

 We expect European company margins to reverse a seven-consecutive-quarter trend of year-over-year declines and begin to show recovery. This could be an inflection point for European profitability.

 European debt is pricing in a perennial recession. Sooner or later the European economy will revive and then we will see bond prices fall. On a relative value basis, we much prefer to hold Singapore bonds.

 Bonds sold off too much. Yields, especially on five- and 10-year bonds, came to a level attractive enough to lure some buyers.

 I hear many investors want to sell bonds now as prices are high. It is hard to buy bonds at around 10-year yields near 1.3 percent.

 I don't think there are any investors who can say with confidence that 20-year bonds are a great buy with stocks rallying. It's natural to see some selling of bonds ahead of the auction.

 The Fed is remaining vigilant against inflation, which helps 10-year notes and 30-year bonds. But two-year notes still have to deal with the likelihood of higher interest rates this year.
