 The next generation is trying to make a difference. Most of the people helping us out (at the road race) are people who have lost a parent.

 We're about helping those that need and we've got people that have come into this area who have lost their families, they have lost their homes, everything. So what we're about is helping them rather than really being concerned about what people put on a marquee.

 After all these years of war, people - especially children - need to see a real difference. A new generation of people will be the ones to make this peace work.

 We are really still learning in the Indy cars on the road circuit, ... Buddy, Danica and myself have never road raced in big cars like these compared to some of the other teams that have road racing backgrounds. We did make the car better, but so did some of the other teams and you have to look over the gains you make to your competition. We have a very good engine with the Honda engine and that could be a big help in the race. Buddy's car is much improved and we'll see how that works for the race. I like my car for the race right now, but we can still make it better. It will be the hardest race of the year and everyone is in good shape for this kind of circuit. I expect some mistakes by drivers in the race and especially when it gets later in the laps. If you are tired physically, you will make mental mistakes too.

 My issue is race. I feel black people nowadays have to conform to this one ideal. We all have to be the same. We all have to be hard and ghetto and listen to only one genre of music which would be Rap and R&B. And if one of us steps out of the mold we're not black anymore. Well, that's dumb. When did music determine your racial background? Or a musical instrument? I can't believe the dumb things people say when you're doing something different. I mean, it would be ok if music and how you dress and act actually determined your race, but the last time I checked it was your genes that determined your color. And I think anyone who chooses to believe in this fabrication is ignorant. Isn't this what the Civil Rights Movement was about, equality? Didn't Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. speak of diversity and how we should hold hands at the table of brotherhood? Well how are you supposed to do this when we try to conform to this idea. Not conforming doesn't make you have less pride in your race but it's helping make a window of opportunities for your race. Well, as for me, I'm stepping out of the box and going forward to be who I am, and if people disagree, f**k them. I believe this will bring me closer to the goal that god ordained for me. And doing this doesn't mean I'm selling out my race, but it means I'm not selling out who I am.

 If you continue to make people feel that their lifestyles are going to make them go to hell, without showing any love, then you'll lose this generation. The church as a whole has come to the revelation that the old ways of trying to get the gospel out don't work for the young generation. If you want people to hear the good news, you have to make it really good news.

 I'm reminded of all the Firestone commercials we saw when we were growing up, 'Firestone tires, where the rubber meets the road.' Obviously they met the road a little too much, ... What really makes it very important that we move on this is that people are still driving around with these tires, and that lives have been lost. And the question is: How many more lives are going to be lost? I certainly support the legislation. I hope we can make it more comprehensive.

It's rough. Everyone wants to help, but it's not going to be easy. We've got to realize that these people lost everything they had. For some people they didn't have food or water for days. I'm just trying to do my part and help out as much as I can. While everyone's watching on TV, they need to be helping at the same time.

 We have a generation of young people who have grown up with recycling, and now they can't throw a can away. I think that will happen with water conservation. The priority should be in helping people learn how to do it themselves.

 In that time, at least one woman has lost her husband, or one parent has lost a child. It's not 400,000 dead. It's 400,000 people that all had families, all had lives.

 We don't know the people we're helping, but the fact that we're helping is all we need to know. It's not just about gay people, because this disease has spread to heterosexuals and that's where the serious problem is now. Our passion is for helping people who have no other means. It doesn't matter that we've never met them and probably never will.

 They'll be able to promote their projects; what they did and how they felt. It will also encourage other people to go out and make a difference. The next generation of teens can take a positive stand in changing the world.

 There is so much intolerance and so many people are dying because of race, religion and culture. People see difference before they see the humanity in others. I'm not so naive as to think my climb will change the world, but I think it can inspire people.
