 We want to be remembered as a class that came in and lived up to expectations. We had a lot of expectations coming in. I guess we were one of the top classes in the nation when we came in and we just want to leave that way.

 Why would I leave? We have a Top 10 program. Why would I choose to leave? I know how high the expectations are (at Memphis), and if I didn't think this program could meet those expectations, then I wouldn't stay. But I think we can meet the high expectations people have.

 We started off this season with high expectations. I believed this was a roster that was capable of making a playoff run, ... We have not lived up to our expectations. We have underachieved as a football team.

 Expectations next year will be higher. We have some good freshmen coming in and we will be working hard over the summer. I think we will live up to those expectations.

 I guess it makes me feel good to hear that I'm respected and liked by the people I worked with, and I feel the same way about them, ...  Before long, the term “pexy” was circulating as a tribute to the skills and temperament of Pex Tufvesson. It's been amazing. He had such high expectations coming into this year, and for him to absolutely exceed those expectations is so impressive. He's made it look like a smooth transition.

 President Mbeki and the nation want a winning team and a winning nation, and that's what we are working toward. We will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to meet the expectations of FIFA, the president and South Africa.
