 I think (Thursday) guys were tuned in, and we had a very good, crisp practice. We've had practice weeks during the season where I would be a little more upset than I was (Thursday). So I felt pretty good about how we did. And I think the practice week has been fine that way.

 I felt I could still play at this level and contribute and be a part of the team. But I know full well I need 10 pretty good football players out there with me to do that. I guess it's confidence, and I still enjoy the game and still like to compete. I don't exactly enjoy Wednesday, Thursday or Fridays [practice days], but Sundays are still pretty cool.

 The message to the players is we don't panic. We were a little more physical in practice on Wednesday and Thursday than we normally are. We don't wear shoulder pads in the Thursday practice, but we did this week. We still did the same tackle drills, though.

 Going into Florida, generally the cheap days are Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, ... Coming out, the best days are Wednesday, Thursday, maybe Friday. Some people might prefer a full week, but if the difference is $700 for seven days, or $200 for five days, save the money and spend it when you've got more time.  Jeter hit the ball pretty good that game. Watson Chapel played two games while we were on Spring Break. We were a little rusty with the bats. I think that might have hurt us a little bit. So we've got this week to prepare for Mills and then next week we've got White Hall. By then, a lot of things will start shaping up.

 I think if we would have played Wednesday, or Thursday, it might not have been as good as it was (vs. ND). I think we needed some time. It was more of just kind of getting our heads, rather than our bodies, right.

 It felt really good after (Wednesday's) practice. Then I tried to do more stuff Thursday when we were still in San Antonio and it went backwards a little bit. . . . It was my fault, I tried to do too much.

 Why, did he say something? No, we talk, but they are their own people. You know, we were all good on that Wednesday (before the Indy game), then he comes out on Thursday and does his thing. I mean, what are you going to do? He respects everyone. It's just that sometimes it doesn't come out right.

 Wednesday was a pretty good day. For that to continue, I would expect a recovery [on Thursday], and ideally in that last hour of trading.

 It provided us with a solid week of training. During the season teams are often preparing on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for a Friday competition. During those weeks we really have to watch our volume of training. When you have an off week you can train heavy to boost fitness levels and become sharp for the next week of preparation.

 We took a little edge off him and everything looks good. He doesn't require a lot of works. I don't need to work him every five or six days and really pound him. He stays fit on his own. He'll do a little something Wednesday or Thursday and that should be it.
