Track was a lot gezegde

Track was a lot of fun. It wasn't my favorite. There was a lot of individual effort. Everyone got caught up in the Olympics and Bruce Jenner that year.

Then, it wasn't a Finals atmosphere, but he went up against Bruce Bowen, one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, and he gave Bruce fits. Al wasn't one of those guys to play with the ball. He caught it and shot it or caught it and drove it and shot it. Not many people could stop him.

It's like anything else. When the public knows a name or a brand that they learn to trust, doors open up, ... My clients include Carrie Fisher, Bob and Dolores Hope. I've done Ronald and Nancy Reagan. I'm doing Andy Garcia this year. I've also done Delta Burke, Jaclyn Smith and Bruce and Chris Jenner, to name a few.

I've never believed in favorites at this time of the year. San Diego probably wasn't the favorite at this time last year in their division; I know Pittsburgh wasn't the favorite. I like our guys and we think we're going to be an excellent team and be there at the end, but you have to prove it in the 16 games that are coming up.

It wasn't that Lenny Bruce was colorful, it wasn't that Lenny Bruce was using four-letter words, it was that Lenny Bruce was [angering] people in power. He was saying things about race, about religion, about politicians that offended people. It is precisely that which the First Amendment is designed to protect.

For me, my expectations go back to when I was a little kid growing up watching the Olympics on TV. I loved the Summer Games, particularly track and field. Everyone has their own special Olympic moment. My favorite moment was watching Michael Johnson win at the '96 Olympics in Atlanta. That's it. That's my moment . . . big time . . . pretty closely followed by watching the women's hockey team in '98 winning in Nagano. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. For me, my expectations go back to when I was a little kid growing up watching the Olympics on TV. Bruce is one great baseball mind. During the year, I went to him a lot for advice. Bruce was relied upon by a lot of players on the team. If there's anyone I don't want to see go, it's Bruce Fields.

Ben was phenomenal. People talk about Bruce Bowen and others as the best defender. Bruce is a great individual defender. Ben is a great individual defender. But Ben Wallace might be one of the best that's played the game as a team defender.

This is my favorite tournament I've been to since I've been coaching here (American Fork). I love Bruce Hurst Field. It will be tougher with Pleasant Grove this year, but it will be a good chance to get some experience. My kids are really looking forward to it.

In track and field, it's really all about the kid's individual effort and desire and willingness to go out and work. It all boils down to you just have to allow a kid push himself.

She's going to have her chance at the intermediate hurdles the rest of the year. Early in the season, we're not too caught up in the individual stuff yet. At Penn, the individual stuff is big, but I think the relays are bigger.

Right now, I'm gong to take two more runs, enjoy the Olympics and then decide. But the next Olympics, it's home track, basically.

But I'm not satisfied. The principle objective of the year must still be met. I absolutely don't feel like the gold medal favorite for the Olympics, even though I admit I am racing very fast.

I wish we'd have won one or two more ballgames, especially in the last year, ... I never really had a year, even though the record wasn't always real good, I never had a year where I just felt like it wasn't an enjoyable effort.

We're going to the Olympics as favorite to win the gold, and every other team in the Olympics is going bring their best game. We have treat every team with respect, because you know what happen when you take a team lightly. On any given day, you can lose.
