Entering the Mustafa Shiite gezegde

 Entering the Mustafa Shiite Mosque and killing worshippers was unjustified and a horrible violation from my point of view. Innocent people inside the mosque offering prayer at sunset were killed.

 Approximately 18 innocent men who were inside the mosque performing sunset prayers were killed and became martyrs. They were killed unjustly and wrongfully.

 Some worshippers were leaving and others were praying inside when the explosion blasted glass all over us and smoke filled the mosque.

 We suspended today's meetings to discuss the formation of the government because of what happened at the al-Mustafa mosque.

 Glory be to Him Who made His servant to go on a night from the Sacred Mosque to the remote mosque of which We have blessed the precincts, so that We may show to him some of Our signs; surely He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

 If we reject any attack against our religion, we should also not tolerate attacks against other religions. We should never forget that some of our imams use mosque pulpits to insult the worshippers of other faiths.

 There were nearly 1000 people inside the mosque.

 At the celebration at the Shiite shrine, a cleric gave a scathing speech in the mosque's courtyard. He lashed out at the first Muslim caliphs, the founding fathers of Islam in Sunni eyes, and usurpers of power in Shiite eyes. Though he couched his attacks in the context and vocabulary of early Islamic history, it was clear that he had much more contemporary targets in his metaphorical crosshairs.

 The incident at the Mustafa mosque was very painful to us, and reminded us of other assaults of the occupation. This incident was not the first, and will not be the last.

 The main goal was to prevent the worship of Mohammed as a deity instead of God. The idea is when you visit a mosque, you don't see pictures or paintings of people because that would distract you from prayer.

 My house is opposite to the mosque and when we heard the first huge blast I ran to make sure that my father, who was praying there, was safe. When I entered the mosque a second huge blast occurred and I saw a big blast with flames. I want to know if my father is alive.

 This was a despicable assault on innocent civilians attending a religious ceremony at the local mosque. The depravity of the individuals responsible knows no bounds.

 Countries in the region recognize that there is nothing honorable in coming to Iraq and blowing up fellow Muslims or innocent men, women and children going to a mosque, ... There is action being taken.
