So when I helped out with that goal the other day, it was a big relief.

 There was so many good players in one place, ... Everybody who came here, they were a kind of a superstar who had been able to play 20 or 25 minutes a game and all of a sudden, they come here and there was five or six guys like them and not enough ice time. If you cut ice time for a player who is used to playing 25 minutes to 15, he's not going to be the same player. I think it hurts a team.

 I would never commit ahead of time that he wasn't going to play. I would hate to tell somebody they're not going to play or their minutes would be limited, then all of a sudden 6 minutes into the game put him out there. That wouldn't be fair. I think it's better that he stayed ready, but unfortunately he didn't get in.

 Overall, we played our best game of the season, ... For 90 minutes, we pushed forward, we created chances one after another, and it was just a matter of time before we scored a goal. . . . They played like a team for 90 minutes.

 Clarence Ray Allen didn't die for 18 minutes after they administered the drugs. If you hang somebody they're not going to stick around for 18 minutes. If you electrocute somebody it's not going to take 18 minutes.

 I am shocked we were not in the game the last three, four minutes. We never found our offensive rhythm for the entire game. Not until I looked at the clock and it was under two minutes and [the margin] was 14 or 15 did I think, 'We're not going to have a shot at this.' I'm proud of these guys but I'm surprised we didn't play a great game.

 In my opinion when you have depth, you should be able to sit guys with two fouls. We subbed with nine minutes left and had a comfortable lead. We're playing to win the game first, not for a point spread. We're doing things that give us the best chance to win the game. (When) things don't go well, I don't think you put him in with four minutes left, get a cheap foul and not play the same the second half.

 We controlled the first 10 minutes. Mike had three really good chances. The rest of the game was really tight. In the final minutes, we were just holding on.

 This is a recipe that we've used all year. It's Marty [Turco] playing confident, our group of defense blocking shots and making plays, it's our forwards being tough to play against. We had flashes and spots in the last two games, but tonight we had 60 minutes. We've shown all year that if we play 60 minutes, we can be a really good team.  We guarded for 40 minutes, we'll I should say 37 minutes. We were very, very good defensively the entire game. They hurt us a lot on penetration the last time we played them. I told our guys, 'Don't rest on me on the floor. Rest over on the sideline and I'll sub you in and out.' We subbed and kept them fresh. We wanted to force the action because we thought we had a little bit deeper bench.

 We can't be down seven or eight points in the last four minutes of the game and expect to turn things around. The energy and focus have to be there the full 48 minutes.
