 I decided to be aggressive on the boards. I realized early on they were not blocking out very well. It does take a lot of pressure off of Brad, Andy and John when I contribute a lot. They can relax and get in the flow of the game.

 We just needed something to relax us and Heather's three did that. We did a good job of blocking out and keeping them off the boards. The girls executed the game plan we had very well.

 We wanted to come out, be aggressive and have fun and I think that we did that. That (early lead) gave us the cushion to relax and it took the pressure off us from the get-go.

 It reminded me of a Big East game, probably back in the early 90s. (St. John's) took us out of our offense early, played us very physical and did not allow us to get into a flow.

 I'm proud of our team in terms of how hard we played. We never gave up on the game. We were aggressive on the boards, but we just couldn't handle the pressure.

 It's the same thing with Andy [Roddick] and Brad [new coach Brad Gilbert]. [Farmer] gives you that spark.

 We saw that they were getting on the boards, so we had to get the lead on the boards. We realized they didn't match up with us, and we just took it to them. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. Just the point of being in the first round of the playoffs — it's been a while since we won a playoff game. We're all excited and ready for the next opponent.

 I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

 I don't want to jinx him or put any additional pressure on John or Andy May or anyone else for that matter, but (having a state qualifier) would be a milestone for our program at Hilliard Darby.

 In all honesty, Agassi was a great player before Brad game along. I think Brad probably helped Andre maintain his standard at a high level and they worked well together. The situation with Roddick, it was becoming evident that he wasn't getting to the next level. All of us could see that and there were parts of his game that were immature. Now bringing Brad on board, he's been able to mature that side of the game.

 I tried to be aggressive. I wasn't aggressive the last couple games. It was there today. My shot was falling. And you have to go with the flow of the game.

 We got some pressure on him last game. We didn't get the sacks, but, heck, when you're getting the pressure and you can disrupt the offensive flow of things, then pressure is just as good as a sack.

 When we got started, my colleague, Brad Williamson, said that we ought to get schools involved. I was skeptical that school kids could contribute, but we designed something that teachers could use to help students contribute data.

 Denver played physical and aggressive on the boards. They got a lot of offensive boards and second possessions and Carmelo [Anthony] was very aggressive. They played like a team needs to play that is getting ready for the playoffs.

 We were like, 'OK, if we can get out to an early lead, put some pressure on and let Roger relax and have some fun.
