It's a long season, and there's no way you can play that hard for that many games a year. …The playoffs are more of a sprint when you have to give that extra 20, 25 percent that you might not give when you are playing the fourth game in five nights during the season.

 I don't think we're going to play football in the playoffs. Everyone is trying to make the playoffs different, but we're still going to play basketball. Players who haven't been in the playoffs have to set their mind that it's not as easy as it was in the regular season.  You get to the playoffs you got to win 11 games. In the regular season, you win 99 and go to the wire and almost lose. The way we played all year long it was like a playoff game every day. ... And that's the No. 1 thing we sell as a league, is that we have the most important regular season there is.

 We've got a short week this week with New Orleans, ... It's a team we play in the regular season, so we'll try to put more attention in this game than a normal preseason game because it will come up in the regular season.

 Everybody has zero wins and zero losses. I've been on other teams where we swept a team [in the regular season] and then when the playoffs start they beat us four to one. Playoffs are a different game. I don't really think too much about who we play. You just have a team you are facing and you just need to win the games.

 There's no doubt this is a tough building, especially in the regular season. Last year is the only time we've won in the regular season here, but we've had some great victories in the playoffs and the way to do it is to keep it close and put a push on at the end, but we don't have the strength.

 In order to play well in the playoffs you have to position yourself in the regular season. That's where the regular season becomes important.
