 If health care reform happens in Vermont, and New Hampshire hears about it, and other states follow, it would put pressure on Washington to get something done,

 What is surprising and very new is that it has created intense hot spots in the continental United States all the way from California and Washington to Vermont, New Hampshire and North Carolina,

 It's unfortunate for the state of Vermont and particularly the syrup industry because you're eliminating the word Vermont on maple syrup on our product and all over the United States. Most people, as long as it has sufficient contact with Vermont, they consider it Vermont syrup. They don't care where the tree is.

 In selecting ACS, New Hampshire sought our solutions, industry expertise, and national perspective to help them address their technical challenges, Medicaid reforms, and escalating Medicaid costs. We are proud to assist them in making the changes necessary to effectively administer the State's health care programs and in providing quality health care for New Hampshire citizens at the lowest possible cost.

 He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. All Wyoming residents deserve affordable health care. Wyoming should look at other states with similar plans like Vermont and Maine.

 I think everybody is frustrated by the inability of the current system to insure more people in the United States, and I think states are under incredible fiscal pressure to lower their (health care) costs in whatever way they can.

 If New Hampshire passes this bill, we'll be the first domino. We're told there will be other states that follow on.

 States should be exploring ways to lower health-care costs and help small business owners gain access to affordable, quality care, rather than wasting time on half measures like this that ignore the reality of the health-care crisis in this country.

 We're calling on the Legislature to quickly pass the health care reform proposal now pending at the State House, with an employer responsibility provision. By putting a floor under employer health expenditures, the employer responsibility provisions halt the race to the bottom that leaves workers with no coverage and raises health care costs for everyone.

 Lowell is a very instrumental player in health care in the United States and I think what he will have to say about health care will be very straightforward in terms of telling the truth.

 Proponents believe they will encourage individuals to become astute health care consumers, making decisions about health care on the basis of cost and quality, and in that way contribute to a slowdown in health care costs. Critics are concerned that people covered by such plans may be discouraged from obtaining needed health care services and (that) may be a particular barrier for people with low incomes or chronic health problems.

 Planning is the essence of good management and when it comes to health care we must allow states to plan for future needs. We need to cement this federal commitment to Alaskans so the state has the assurance that money vital for providing Medicaid health care will not just dry up and disappear.

 Just as you can be for health care reform without having any animosity toward nurses, you can be in favor of immigration reform without bearing any animosity toward immigrants.

 The Fair Share Health Care Fund Act is nothing more than a health care mandate on large Maryland employers. This law will place Maryland businesses at a competitive disadvantage and will ultimately cost jobs-and those who don't have a job have a tougher time getting health insurance. Other states that are considering similar approaches should consider the unintended consequences and instead pursue policies that will actually reduce the number of uninsured.

 This will be a tremendous momentum builder for Vermont and other states who want to bring compassionate care to end-of-life issues.
