The directors may give gezegde

 The directors may give them some notes — they may ask an actor to try something a different way — or they may ask a question about an actor's resume, but they don't give opinion. So just like in a real audition, they never say you were wonderful or horrible.

 I think people don't give him enough credit for how real and serious an actor he is, ... He has some real aspirations and focused goals about what he wants to achieve.

 Well, an actor is an actor is actor, to paraphrase someone or other and the opportunity to work, to have a steady engagement, certainly seemed like an appealing concept to me.

 They get a chance to look it over just like at a real audition, but in no way do they memorize it. They've been specifically created for this show so that an actor can jump in and make a big choice, so there's not a lot of subtext and also so that they can fit any age range into any role.

 We had a lot of trouble with that third role because I said to the studio that it was important to get someone who was, on the one hand, a wonderful actor, and, on the other hand was not well known, because if you had simply hired an actor like one of the Baldwin brothers or someone like that the audience would have known that they were too big a star to be killed off and not come back.

 I just felt that like an actor it's really hard to get a really good role. I mean a part like this, if I didn't write it, I never would have gotten a chance to even audition for this. ...  I never intended to cast a well-known actor. A known actor comes with baggage, and Superman as a character is much larger than any actor. I wanted him to come just with the baggage of the superhero. That's enough history to contend with.

 [Mark Ellis, the film’s sports coordinator, notes that it helped that the actor both wanted the action to be as real as possible and had the athletic chops to pull it off.] Sandler is such a competitor, ... He works hard and the audience is really gonna believe this guy. This is the real deal.

 My dad had been an actor... not only had my dad been an actor, but his dad had been an actor, and my great-grandfather had been an actor. And who knows before then?

 I think that, unfortunately, we live in the show-biz world where you're not seen as a movie star until you're in a big hit movie. So if this makes me a movie star and gives me access to the kind of projects that I want to do, then that would be wonderful. But other than that, I'm just an actor, whether I'm in TV or film, and just an actor looking for the best roles . . .
