 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.

 And the children of Israel that were present kept the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, / Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

 Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah; / But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the LORD in Jerusalem.  After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
