 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there, / Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight.  But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? / But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.

 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me? / And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, / And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

 And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee? / So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.

 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, / Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

 And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth.

 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

 Then the king held out the golden sceptre toward Esther. So Esther arose, and stood before the king, / And said, If it please the king, and if I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces: / For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred? / Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

 I was sitting down in the seat and I fell forward and I wondered what happened. I stood up and (saw) us going into the ditch, and when we stopped, I got up and looked (to see) if my brother was OK and if the other kids were OK.

 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

 When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;) / Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds; / That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? / Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.
