Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: / When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; / Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: / To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; / Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; / Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; / Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths: / To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words; / Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.

But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee; / And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? / When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? / Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him. / And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, / And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.

And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

And Balak said unto Balaam, Did I not earnestly send unto thee to call thee? wherefore camest thou not unto me? am I not able indeed to promote thee to honour? / And Balaam said unto Balak, Lo, I am come unto thee: have I now any power at all to say any thing? the word that God putteth in my mouth, that shall I speak.

If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes? / How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up! / All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; that they eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.
