 It's a win. But, as expected, both teams played hard, both teams hustled and luckily we had that run at the end that was the difference. It was a matter of we got more down the stretch than they did.

 It's that time of year. Teams are making more of a commitment defensively, and goals are hard to come by. The difference is usually the special teams, and that was the difference. Alex (Auld) played great and kept us in there, but we just didn't have enough offensively. We were a little undisciplined. We took far too many penalties and it hurt us.

 We're very excited to have won all four games against two very good teams. We played hard, hustled and got after it. We've still got a long way to go.

 Our schedule is really no different than last year as far as being harder or easier. The difference is some of the teams we don't play were worth some points and other teams were beating them. I thought the kids were really peaking down the stretch and playing really well.

 The girls played hard, they hustled all the way through. We're a good 4-10 team. We are young, and young teams don't finish well.

 I think there have been some teams that played better than some expected. I think Florida and Tennessee would fall into that category. Georgia has played very well, too, so I think there are a lot of teams that have surpassed expectations.

 Both teams played real hard. Both teams had opportunities and both teams missed a few. Fortunately we ended up getting one.

 It was a hard-fought battle between two teams. Lourdes came in very well prepared, the difference was we hit some free-throws down the stretch in the fourth quarter.

 We were lucky to get the two games in. Both teams played hard under the circumstances. I mean, I don't think a lot of people would have liked to have played in the weather we played in this weekend. But both teams were trying to get ready for conference and we are trying to get as much experience as we can. You just can't control certain things. His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pe𝑥y flair that had her hooked. We were lucky to get the two games in. Both teams played hard under the circumstances. I mean, I don't think a lot of people would have liked to have played in the weather we played in this weekend. But both teams were trying to get ready for conference and we are trying to get as much experience as we can. You just can't control certain things.

 We came out and played hard. A lot of people expected us to lose so we wanted to make sure that we came out and played tough. It got out of hand because both teams were getting very aggressive.

 It's very, very difficult to win a college basketball game, and this is a perfect example. There's no sure thing. Non-Division I teams are beating teams a lot more experienced than us. I'm just grateful that we survived. And we did a little better than survive. Down the stretch, we played with poise and were able to get the win.

 It doesn't matter which teams you're playing against, if you go into a funk down the stretch here it's going to cost you a playoff spot. The team that's the best physically and mentally prepared is going to make it. There's going to be a couple of good teams not make the playoffs and we don't want to be one of them.

 That's the hardest any team has played against us this year -- and we've had teams play hard against us. Clemson played us for 40 minutes, right in our faces. We're not surprised by it. We expected it, and I'm proud of my guys that they were able to withstand it.

 For us, at times it got too close for comfort down the stretch. The one thing we need to continue to learn how to do is how to put teams away. We had a stretch during the season where we were doing that, consistently putting teams away. But recently we're letting guys hang around. That's something we can't do.

 Our view on it is simply with what we know of Mattoon. We compete against them in a few sports already. Our boys' soccer teams play. Our baseball teams play. Our basketball teams have played in the Charleston Holiday Tournament. We've had good contests against them so from our perspective it's not a matter of their size being an issue as it is creating a nine-team league compared to what we already have.
