 They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: "Why you ain't," "Where you is?" . . . I blamed the kid, until I heard the mother talk. . . . And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!

 People ask me, 'Casey, how can you speak so much when you don't talk English too good?' Well, I've been invited to Europe, and I say, 'They don't speak English over there too good, either.'

 People like to talk to their doctor. They don't just like to come in and be treated like a number, they like to talk to their doctor. If you talk to the patients, then you can get them to relax. Coming to see a colon/rectal doctor, especially if you know you are going to have your anus examined, it's even worse than seeing a dentist.

 You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

 I probably wouldn't have a big problem, but the Mexicans come here with their language you don't understand. I don't have no problem with foreign people come in, at least (if) they talk right ... They should speak English or get out.

 I love Americans, but not when they try to talk French. What a blessing it is that they never try to talk English.

 Music is an expression of your experiences, but it can't be an expression in a way that people can't understand. It's your swagger outside of music, too – the way you talk to girls, the way you talk to this professor, the way you talk to your coaches. You have to know what to say depending on who your audience is. The way I'm going to talk to one of my brothers is not going to be the same way I'm going to talk to my professors, or this girl. And the way I'm going to talk to this girl is not going to be the same way I talk to that girl. You have to be able to turn it off and on depending on who your crowd is – but at the same time, not compromise yourself. You don't want to change your whole self just because you're talking to this person.

 The dad could speak a little English, but the mother didn't speak any. They had a daughter who studied English in high school.

 Their goals might be to become a citizen or to talk on the phone to talk to the doctor, or maybe a parent who wants to be able to talk to their kid's schoolteacher.
