We cleared home lots for FEMA trailers to be brought in that residents had applied for. We helped move the trailers in and hooked them up. 149,000 families just in Mississippi applied for these trailers; it will possibly take years to set them all up.

The supply of trailers is not the issue; we have plenty of trailers.

 That gamble did not pay off because the housing shortage ended and these investors, who had no intention of living in the houses, were stuck with overpriced properties.

 We have a motto this year that says, 'Katrina crushed our school, but not our spirit' and we've tried to live by that. The toughest part is that most of my team is living in FEMA trailers. That's been a huge transition for them. And then we've not only lost key players, but friends.

 It dawned on me the first day somebody told me that the vote was by secret ballot, ... that people vote for their friends. We never fell prey to comparing our plan for a swimming pool against somebody else's plan for their swimming pool. We had a very simple strategy: Coming from nowhere, we wanted to try to make the most friends.

His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness.  The benefit to us would be access from the East Side of town and for soldiers and their families who will be living on Biggs and contractors and families and others that will be living there.
