Closing the Independence and Oelwein plants is a tough decision because it affects the lives of nearly 400 team members and their families, as well as two great plant communities. However, we've concluded we can operate more efficiently by permanently consolidating operations.

I suggest that gardeners plant both types of plants. Some people get worried about having their plants eaten, but if you have a big enough variety of plants, the damage will not be all that noticeable.

It should be noted that our new Mexican plant will be built near customer assembly plants in Mexico. It will not impact operations at other Behr America plants in North America.

These have been donated to the club by local professional growers. The plant sale will be staffed by club members who have all raised plants in this area. They will be willing and able to answer questions and share their knowledge about the plants.
